Robotic Dog Earthquake Warning

By Lance Winslow

After watching the aftermath of the Horrific Hurricanes of Katrina and Rita, we were once again reminded how devastating and unforgiving Mother Nature can be. We live on the surface of the Planet and it is indeed a very hostile environment and that is before we put a million people on a slab of concrete during the morning rush hour.

We all know that Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle are all way over do for major Earthquakes. We all know they are coming but no one knows exactly when. Sure there is some pseudo science out there that says they can predict Earthquakes, but for the most part the only thing we know is that dogs and some animals know these things way in advance.

Which brings up the point, should you buy a robotic dog, a real dog or clone the one you have before it dies? Hard to say, here are some thoughts on this:

Animals are said to pick these up at least 8-24 hours ahead of time. If they can do it, then why can’t we? Well, perhaps we can and yes I have a plan. In fact it involves robotic dog technology, but can a robotic doggy warn people 30 seconds before a big quake so they can seek safety under a desk, away from possible dangerous falling debris or windows? Well, we do know that before an Earthquake there are changes in the earth’s normal resonance, as small waves are started.

I propose we use the vibrational energy to light up LED bright lights. That is to say as the first waves appear a warning light would begin to get brighter on the robotic pet. Even if the pet’s batteries were not fully charged. If the pet was fully charged it would start barking the sound “Earthquake, Alert; Earthquake, Alert!!” Talk about a robotic dog selling feature, this dog could save your life, even if your real dog just started acting strange you would know it was the real thing.

There is new invention that can power up flashlights using electromagnetic induction technology to charge a capacitor instead of working off a battery. Currently there are some nifty micro-flashlights being used which you can buy which use a similar technique and are available thanks to the Everlite Flashlight technology research lab. These smaller flashlights work by shaking them for about thirty seconds and shine for about 6 minutes and they shine quite bright since they use a very bright LED light. Here is a link to this home use flashlight:

I propose we use the Earth’s rumble and vibrational energy to light up a warning light on your robotic dog as the resonance changes in the Earth’s normal frequency. Generally you have about thirty minute warning window when things begin to change and just before the Earthquake there are signs about 30 seconds prior. Even if currently we do not have the technology to warn people 30 minutes ahead we will some day, but now 30-seconds is enough to save your life, thus proving a Robotic Dog is a man’s best Electronic Friend. Perhaps this is a good way to save lives and if so, what a great invention it could be? Think on this.
